Twin Pregnancy Update
How far along? 26 weeks tomorrow!
Total weight gain: 22 pounds. (Pre-pregnancy weight: 130 lbs.)
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Best moment this week: Had my Dr's appointment early this week and the babies look great!!! They are both 1 Ib 13 ounces!!! Very good size and my amniotic fluid looks great!!! It is also great that they are measuring pretty much the exact same!
Miss Anything? Yes! Being able to move around easily without getting braxton hicks. I swear I get them constantly.
Movement: Babies are crazy. They are always moving! I have to say most of the time I love it!!! It is my favorite part of pregnancy. Well actually maybe the only part I like ;) There have been a couple times when they have really hurt me with their kicks or punches or head buds. One time I yelled out loud it hurt so bad. Crazy girls!!!
Food cravings: I really enjoy Sausage Egg McMuffins from McDonalds and Cinnamon Rolls. I have to constantly eat to keep away the nausea. Yes I am still nauseous. Counting my blessing though that it is not nearly as bad as the 1st trimester. I lost seven pounds, it was horrible.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really
Labor Signs: Like I said before I have Braxton Hicks contractions all day long but I have read, and was told by my DR that it is normal when carrying twins. I had the same thing with my previous pregnancies. Both twin pregnancies have been more constant though.
Symptoms: Nausea, back pain, Braxton Hicks, constantly having to pee, getting very tired and uncomfortable. I know it will only get worse too.
Wedding rings on or off? On, although at the end of a long day it was hard to take the ring off last night. Starting to swell a little bit by the end of the day.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm happy for the most part. I admit I have not been as patient with my poor kids lately. I always end up going to them after I lose my patience and apologize. Poor things, definitely feeling the hormones :) It does help that this is my favorite part of the year!!!! I love love love love it!!! I remember there were a couple days in a row this pregnancy where I was crying a lot and Grant looked at me and jokingly said, but this is your favorite time of year haha. Hey I think I am doing good though. He is so good about making me feel better.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving!!! We are going to Utah for Thanksgiving and I can't wait. My mother-in-law Sheryl will be there, my Dad and Nancy possibly, and I get to see my new Nephew who was just born last week!!! Can't wait to see all of my family that lives in Utah as well!!!! Less than 2 weeks away!!! Woohoo
Baby Update
The girls are looking great!!! Right now our names are Emma Sheryl and Kate Elizabeth :) Pretty set on them. Baby A is laying across the bottom right now head to the right and right now is breech, hope that isn't the case when it is delivery time. I really don't want a C section, I've made it so far without one. My Dr says most likely it will be a vaginal delivery which is awesome since my Dr with the twins said the opposite. Baby B is laying the opposite direction. Baby B is definitely the busiest. Although Baby A is giving Baby a run for the money lately. The ultrasound tech says they are positioned in such a crazy way. Baby A is laying in front of Baby B which makes it hard for her to tell which baby is which :). Oh man! I LOVE watching these cute babies of mine move around on the ultrasound. The tech always apologizes that it takes her a while and I tell her take your time, I don't mind a bit, bz it is so fun for me. This pregnancy is definitely going fast which is great! Can't wait to meet these beauties!!!
